This is the perfect healthy bedtime dessert: Casein Chocolate Pudding made with Ekopura Casein† It's super quick and easy to make and you don't need food processors. Just a bowl, a spoon, 4 ingredients and it's ready in 2 minutes! Not only is it super easy to make, but it's also low in carbohydrates, high in protein, gluten-free and all natural!

Why is this the perfect healthy bedtime dessert?

With just 4 ingredients, this easy-to-make snack is ideal for when you're short on time or simply want something delicious that doesn't take long to make. Because we've used casein protein in this recipe, it's the ideal dessert or snack before bed. Casein is what they call a slow protein that provides your body with needed protein throughout the night. This is great if you train a lot and want to recover your body at night. In addition, the casein protein also helps you feel full throughout the night, preventing you from waking up hungry. Recipes:

Time: 2 minutes
Servings: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 scoop Ekopura Casein Protein
  • 2 el cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup cold almond milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter or coconut butter

How to make the pudding:

Step 1 - Pour the cold almond milk into the bowl and add it Ekopura protein powder and cocoa powder.

Step 2 - Stir well with a spoon (or with a whisk) until there are no lumps and the pudding is thick and shiny.

Step 3 - When most of the lumps are gone, add the almond butter (or coconut butter) and stir again.

You can eat the pudding right away or you can store it in the fridge for later. We recommend refrigerating for at least 30 minutes for best texture as it will continue to thicken in the fridge.

Et voila! It's that easy.

Tips: 

  • We recommend using (very) cold milk as this will help thicken the pudding consistency as it will harden the almond butter.
  • To thicken the pudding a bit, add some almond butter.
  • If you want to eat this as an afternoon snack, you can also prepare it with other Ekopuraproteins such as: Vegan Chocolate, Vegan Vanilla of Whey Natural.
