Prickly pear is a fruit from a cactus plant. Also called a 'prickly pear' because of its pointed skin. Available in the colors green, yellow, orange and red-brown. You eat it on its own, or use it in a jam or smoothie. Prickly pears are particularly healthy. They are extremely rich in potassium, vitamin C, vitamin B and calcium. In addition, by eating a prickly pear you can also count on the intake of the so-called B-carotene. This substance is converted by the body into vitamin A, which gives an extra health boost.

How do you prepare it?

  • Halve and scoop out the prickly pears. Put these in a blender.
  • Peel the bananas and put them in the blender as well.
  • Pour the yogurt, granola and 1 scoop Ekopura Add and blend until you have a smooth smoothie.
