7 tips for more Energy!

The amount of energy you have per day largely determines the quality of your life. When your energy level is low, you notice this in your mood and concentration. The more energy you have every day, the more you can get out of your life. Your body also needs sufficient nutrients to provide you with energy. If there is a deficiency somewhere or when harmful substances are added, your body will become out of balance, so that it can no longer function optimally.

7 tips for more Energy!

Do you feel like you could use a little more energy? Then follow these tips and boost your energy level.

Rise and Shine!

Did you know that five minutes of exercise after getting up provides more energy and that you also burn twice as many calories during the day! And we're really not talking about running a marathon right away, but just press a few times or do some jumping jacks to get your heart rate up. After this mini work-out you are ready to start the day full of energy.

Nutrition!

We can't say it often enough! Healthy food is so important for your body and mind. We live in a world where unfortunately a lot of food is of very low quality. For example, look at the vegetables you buy in the supermarket. You assume it will provide you with the vitamins and minerals your body needs. But unfortunately, many vegetables are grown in depleted agricultural land that contains few minerals, and these vegetables are often also sprayed with chemicals.

That is why it is smart to choose fresh, organic products. Organically grown fruits and vegetables contain 50 percent more antioxidants that contribute to good health. In addition, non-organic fruit often contains twice as much cadmium, a toxic metal present in fertilizers.

Also try to avoid foods with artificial additives (recognizable by E numbers) as much as possible. E numbers are substances that are added to improve the properties of foods. In our blog “The benefits of organic food” let's go into this in more detail.

Don't forget to have breakfast

Always make time for breakfast. Because if you skip breakfast, you deprive your body of valuable fuels, so you start your day less energetic. Do you have trouble having an extensive breakfast in the morning, no problem! Take a banana for example, a banana is a good source of energy or opt for a protein shake. A protein shake is made in this way, gives a feeling of satiety and you can vary endlessly. Look at here all recipes.

Follow the Sun!

Sunlight gives you energy and makes you happy. This is because your body produces serotonin from the sun. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter and hormone that influences, among other things, the day-night rhythm and helps you to feel good. What many people do not know, however, is that serotonin has many more important bodily functions, and that a lack of serotonin can lead to unhealthy eating and binge eating, resulting in obesity and all kinds of related diseases and disorders. So embrace the sunlight!

Do you sleep fit

With exceptions, the average person needs between seven and eight hours of sleep. When it gets less than five or six hours, you're just missing one or two nights of sleep a week. If you structurally sleep too little, this has physical consequences. Think of: weight gain, stress, chance of getting sick more quickly, a delayed reaction time, headaches, more irritable and greater risk of developing depression. This has to do with your day and night rhythm, when this is disturbed you will become depressed much faster.

Sleep is not only good for your health, it is also essential for muscle growth and muscle recovery after exercise or muscle maintenance during weight loss. Research shows that a lack of sleep can cause muscle loss and breakdown of muscle tissue. If you want to make the most of your training, it is important to get enough sleep. Maybe go to bed an hour earlier tonight!

Drink enough water

When you don't get enough fluids, you become lethargic and tired. Water is needed for almost all body processes. If you are tired, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and always have a bottle of water with you. Drinking enough water is therefore very important.

Tip! Make drinking water even more delicious by adding a flavor to it. For example, choose fresh fruit, cucumber or mint. Do you want to know if you are drinking enough water? Then read our blog” Drink enough water! 5 reasons why ".

Try to enjoy and laugh!

Laughter is not only a great way to put your problems into perspective, it also makes you healthier and sharper. Because during a fit of laughter, in addition to endorphins, immune cells that, for example, disable viruses are also produced, the amount of stress hormones in your blood decreases and your stomach and face get a full workout. That is why you sometimes feel just as satisfied after a fit of laughter as after an hour of exercise. It's not for nothing that they say that laughing is healthy.
